VOLYN
Bright stripes form the basis of the ladies
wardrobe. They wear a vest which is sleeveless and tightly fitted. Indented
cuttings sewn on the waist are ornamented with embroidered motifs and coloured
trimmings. The skirt is gathered in wide pleats and a wooled apron in coloured
stripes sits atop the skirt. Wide puffy sleeves have embroidery on the
upper arm and lower arm. The blouse extendes to the knees. A floral headpiece
of blue and yellow is accented with short flowing ribbons.
The men's costume is less ornate. Wide
vertical stripes of embroidery adorn the front of the shirt. Complimentary
embroidery trims the lower end of the shirt which hangs over pants of finely-striped
wool. A broad blue poias completes the outfit.
